PJVA April Luncheon Review
"The Weyburn Unit - Leading Edge Development"

PJVA Luncheon
April 2013

Speaker: Marcel Savoie

Marcel Savoie gave a fascinating presentation about the Weyburn Unit, starting with a Weyburn 101 course including Unit related photo’s, some the history and a few statistics; first formed, current production, amount of CO2 injected, number of current partners, etc. Well, maybe not so fascinating, but the Weyburn Unit is a very interesting project on which to work and I wanted to help others understand a bit about it.

Thereafter Marcel introduced the spellbound crowd (or was that sleepy? I get the two mixed up) to the difference between a Plan of Unit Operation and Unit/Unit Operating Agreements, and electronic communications –Weyburn Style. He ended with a lead in to the next EMS by discussing the Weyburn Unit Electronic Mail Ballot website and how the unit owners are able to download mail ballot information, AFE’s, reports plus vote on mail ballots on the same site.

But seriously, the Weyburn Unit can be an interesting project on which to work

The May luncheon is still up in the air, as the planned speaker has to attend his son’s graduation that day, so is unable to fly in for our little soiree. We’ll let you know once we have confirmed the back-up speaker.

Marcel

At the beginning of each year the PJVA Standing Committee will take any Errata’s for the year past and incorporate them into a new version of the PJVA GHA. In 2013, we incorporated the current Errata’s listed and some grammatical errors. This is what is now available for download via the online order form.

As members bring items or concerns to the PJVA Standing Committee they are discussed and if agreed we put the item or concern on the Errata page for other members to view.
