Knowledge is Power - Become a Proud Energy Citizen
Alishia Klein, Communications Coordinator, Public Affairs, CNRL

Energy is essential to our everyday existence and oil and natural gas is expected to remain the primary source for many years to come. Calgarians and Canadians alike benefit from this resource economically, socially - even environmentally. However, it is also one of the most controversial industries, causing much debate and protest by varying groups. Learning more about the industry many of us work in, rely on, and benefit from is now more important than ever. Through educating ourselves we will be better equipped to promote the economic advantages of our industry, advocate environmental initiatives and technology development to reduce our footprint and most of all, share in the pride of being part of a movement celebrating responsible resource development in Canada.

This will be an interactive luncheon, made to help members think about how they can become proud energy citizens themselves, and encourage others to do so as well. We encourage attendee participation, so if you have any ideas or examples on how to make an impact and/or how to learn more about the Energy Industry, please bring them along!

Please join us as Alishia Klein from Canadian Natural Resources Limited explains her perspective on the importance of being a proud energy citizen. Mrs. Klein currently works in Public Affairs at CNRL where she coordinates corporate social responsibility reporting initiatives, provides support for employee communications and helps facilitate stakeholder and community engagement events.
