International Investors and Perspectives: Expectations for Investors New to Canada Sean Korney; Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP
This presentation will:Â
- review why foreign investors are interested in Canadian O&G,Â
- consider who these investors are and the background / experience and perspective that they bring,
- consider how and why  they bring a different approach to joint ventures, and
- suggest some things that you might expect when negotiating with them or working as their partners.
Sean grew up in Calgary and attended the University of Calgary for Law School.  With over 20 years experience in the O&G industry; he began his career in Calgary before moving overseas where he worked 3 years in Singapore and 10 years in Dubai for large US and English law firms. He currently works in the Energy Department at BD&P; focusing on transactions involving energy companies at times represented foreign governments on energy transactions.
