November 2013 November Luncheon David J Browne, Vice President, Communication & Marketing, Trican Well Service Ltd. Dave has been a fracturing engineer for more than 20 years. He will provide an introduction to the hydraulic fracturing process, a discussion of recent public issues relating to fracturing, and an outline of the facts that address some of the "myths" that have been spread within the public debate. A take away from the talk will be - how to discuss fracturing with concerned friends and family. Mr. Browne is a professional engineer and has been with Trican since 1997. Prior to leading the global marketing and communication functions, Mr. Browne held the position of Corporate Director of Technology, where he was responsible for the continued advancement of petroleum technology throughout all of Trican's geographic regions. Previously with Trican, Mr. Browne held the position of Technical Manager, Fracturing, and has the distinction of being the Company's first Fracturing Engineer. He was also Fracturing Team Lead with Nowsco, and began his career with Norcen Energy, gaining experience in reservoir engineering and completions. Mr. Browne is a graduate of Montana Tech, obtaining a B.Sc. in petroleum engineering, as well as a graduate from SAIT. He holds memberships in APEGA, SPE International, and CSUR.
