Pipeline Water Crossing Risk and Mitigation
Corey Simard, Crescent Point Energy

Join us for an educational luncheon on pipeline infrastructure and the risks associated with water crossings. Corey Simard of Crescent Point Energy Corp. will walk us through the efforts required for companies to mitigate risk when dealing with water crossing pipelines.

Oil and Gas production is transported through a network of pipeline infrastructure within Alberta. Industry has thousands of water crossings throughout the 415,000 km inventory of pipelines. This inventory is of significant risk.
Water crossings present significant operating liability in terms of regulatory, environment, company image, and economic consequences.

Water crossing risk can be managed through regular inspections and detailed assessments where required.

Corey originally joined Crescent Point Energy as a pipeline integrity specialist on March 18th 2013. Corey previously has spent seven years with Penn West Exploration as a Pipeline Integrity Coordinator, Pipeline Integrity Specialist and a Pipeline Integrity Team Lead, he also has had four years working on pipeline corrosion, as well as four years with production operations while now on his 16th Year in the Oil and Gas industry with 8 of those years dedicated to Asset Integrity. Before starting his career in the oil and gas industry Corey obtained his GPO at Fairview college and while advancing in his career enrolled in NACE ("National Association of Corrosion Engineering") to obtain his Senior Corrosion Specialist certification.

Sign up today for a chance to get an in-depth look into a world that Joint Venture rarely gets a glimpse into!

The first 50 people to join will be entered into a draw for a bottle of PJVA wine!
The draw will be held at the luncheon.
