Horn River Basin - Now What?
Dave Thorn, Canadian Gas Marketing for EnCana Corporation

Our January topic is a follow-up to our October luncheon, which provided a technical understanding of the Horn River shale gas play. This session will deal with what to do with all that gas. Because EnCana is a 'game changer' with shale gas development throughout North America, Dave's group has been looking at the effect of all the shale gas plays in North America ramping up and the need for new markets. Embedded in his presentation is the economics of these plays and why this new large supply of gas is a game changer. This will truly be an enlightening presentation.

Mr. Thorn works in Encana’s Midstream, Marketing and Fundamental business unit; responsible for the marketing and optimization of their natural gas business. Dave joined PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd., a predecessor company of EnCana, in August 1998 after holding several positions in the gas marketing business including General Manager, Business Development with a Calgary based marketing company and as a Manager of Gas Marketing for a senior producer in Alberta.
